Announcing The Town Lake (TX) Chapter 2020 Scholarship Application

The Town Lake (TX) Chapter awards a $20,000 scholarship ($5,000/year) to a graduating African American High School Senior from an accredited high school in the Austin metropolitan area.  The Town Lake (TX) Chapter will review applications from African American high school seniors attending a university or college in the Summer or Fall of 2020.  Applicants must meet the following criteria. Be in the top quartile of class rank (3.0 GPA or higher) Be graduating under the Recommended High School Plan Be involved in extra-curricular activities Financial need is considered Relatives of The Links, Incorporated are ineligible to participate as a candidate for the scholarship All applicants need to disclose if they are [...]

Dr. Dominique Isaac Williams, MD was honored on February 16, 2019, by the local chapter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated on Saturday, February 16, 2019, for her service in the field of medicine. She currently practices Family Medicine at Austin Regional Clinic since 2006 in Austin. She received a B.A. in Sociology, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, 1993 and then completed Medical School at Albany Medical College, Albany, NY, 1998. Some of her professional positions and honors are Chief Resident, Rush-Illinois Masonic Family Practice Residency Program, Chicago, IL, 2000-2001 and a Member, American Academy of Family Physicians.
