The Town Lake (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, invites you to dine, dance, and celebrate Mardi Gras--Austin-style. All proceeds benefit our work to ensure that Austin youth are well-fed, supported and educated. Contributions are tax-deductible through The Links Foundation, Incorporated, our 501(c)3 organization and proceeds will benefit The Links Foundation, scholarships, mentorship, STEM programs, and meals for Austin youth. Town Lake (TX) Chapter Wins National Recognition

The Town Lake (TX) Chapter was honored at The Links, Incorporated’s national assembly in Las Vegas, Nevada, for its stellar STEM initiative at Norman Elementary School.  The chapter’s effort placed in the top three of 286 Links chapters in the services to youth category.   The chapter offered computer skills lessons at Norman Elementary School three times a month during the academic year in order to bolster 5th grader’s competence and confidence when working with technology.  Sessions presented opportunities for students to use Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, learn computer science through basic coding, and nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. Austin African American Book Festival Author Reception

The Town Lake (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will host an author reception for the 10th Annual Austin African American Book Festival on Friday, June 24, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center. The event will feature book signings and remarks by featured authors Sharon G. Flake, ReShonda Tate Billingsley and Town Lake (TX) Chapter member Gerry Tucker.
