Please join the Town Lake Chapter of The Links, Incorporated on January 5, 2017, for a private screening and fundraising event featuring the long-awaited movie, Hidden Figures, the amazing untold story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe). These brilliant African-American women worked at NASA, serving as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, advanced the United States’ leadership position in the Space Race, and galvanized the world. This visionary trio crossed both gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.
