"A Black Women's History of the United States", is a vibrant and empowering history that emphasizes the perspectives and stories of African American women to show how they are—and have always been—instrumental in shaping our country.

The Town Lake (TX) Chapter awards a $20,000 scholarship ($5,000/year) to a graduating African American High School Senior from an accredited high school in the Austin metropolitan area. The Town Lake (TX) Chapter will review applications from African American high school seniors attending a university or college in the Summer or Fall of 2020. Applicants must meet the following criteria.
